Biological NPK Fertiliser and Efficient Phosphorus Uptake

The sowing of maize, sunflower, soybean, and sugar beet has been completed, and the plants are in the emergence and early development stages. This is an extremely sensitive phase of growth when plants have specific requirements that are crucial for the formation of a strong root system, good leaf mass, and efficient photosynthesis. These are precisely the key prerequisites for achieving stable and high yields.

The application of the microbiological fertiliser Biofor Active at this stage has a strong and long-lasting effect. First and foremost, it activates the soil microbiota in the root zone, which contributes to the development and branching of the root system and thereby increases the uptake of essential nutrients from the soil. In addition, the bacteria in Biofor Active convert inaccessible forms of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium into forms accessible to plants and represent a biological NPK fertiliser. The development of bacteria from this product in the root zone ensures continuous and balanced nutrition throughout the entire growing season. The bacteria in Biofor Active improve soil structure, retain moisture, and promote a healthy microbiological balance, reducing the potential of the soil for the development of phytopathogenic fungi. The product is used at a rate of 2 l/ha in most field crops, except sugar beet, where the rate should be increased to 3.5 l/ha. The product acts exclusively through the soil and is best applied in the first herbicide treatment together with the herbicides that you normally use.

Biofor BioP is an innovative microbiological product that represents a solution for plant phosphorus nutrition and is the winner of the prestigious European Green Innovation Vouchers Award in 2018. The product breaks down organic forms of phosphorus and releases mineral forms of phosphorus that are inaccessible to plants, making them readily available to plants. It can be applied in all field crops, as well as in vegetable and fruit production. In maize, the product solves the problem of phosphorus availability during the early stages of young plant development and phosphorus deficiency, which in maize is manifested by the purple, anthocyanin colouring of young maize leaves. In the event of these symptoms appearing, the application of Biofor BioP resolves the problem in a very short time, while preventive application eliminates the occurrence of the problem. Biofor BioP is particularly effective on heavier and saline soils with impaired structure. This microbiological product not only improves the phosphorus supply of plants but also increases the availability of microelements such as iron, zinc, and manganese, thereby promoting healthy growth, better nutrition, and greater resistance of plants to stressful conditions. It has also demonstrated effectiveness in alfalfa crops, a perennial crop with high phosphorus requirements, especially during rooting and intensive growth stages.

The effect of Biofor BioP in alfalfa crops delights producers, as alfalfa begins to develop in parts of the field where this had never previously been possible, in depressions and waterlogged areas of the field. In saline soils with disturbed pH values, Biofor BioP is particularly effective. In apple orchards, the product improves the availability of phosphorus and microelements, stimulates root development, and increases plant resistance, contributing to better yields and fruit quality.

Biofor BioP has shown good effects among large hazelnut producers, ensuring a strong root system and efficient uptake of nitrogen and phosphorus, along with increased resistance to stress.
